If you want to deal a crap load of damage to someone, this build is for you.
Earth Magic: 16
Blood Magic: 10
Energy Storage: (rest)
Skills:
1.) Vampiric Gaze
2.) Barbed Signet
3.) Rez Sig (shame on you people who don't bring these )
4.) Obsidian Flame
5.) Eruption
6.) Ward of Melee
7.) Earth Attunement
8.) Elemental Attunement {E}
Yes, Eruption and Obsidian Flame causes exhaustion, but with the attunements you should be able to spam alot of spells for a long period of time, basically as long as those enchantments are on you. Eruption is for when you see Warriors standing still attacking, it's perfect when they charge in for you because you can start with Ward of Melee and then cast Eruption, following some pain with Obsidian Flame and the blood magic. They'll be blind because of Eruption, and by that time they should be helpless. This build is mostly to penetrate warriors easily, because spellcasters such as the poor elementalist should not be afraid of a warrior charging on them, but rather excited

u still lose 10% max energy when spammed so no u realy cant spam them that much. but it's got a good blood combo nice and very defensive soo good good.
BUT where is the armor of the earth , like at 16 earth u'd be afool not to bring it.

and a mesmer with diversion, backfire, shatter or drain enchant, etc. will easily and quickly take you out of the fight. Any smart warrior would run as they see a ward of melee pop up or even if they see you start to cast eruption.

yes, thats why u try to see if theres a mesmer right away and take him out as fast as possible. backfire will only last 10 seconds, that's not very long, that's why barbed signet is in there in case you resort to that type of thing.
and yes, smart warriors should run from your ward and eruption, it can act as a repellent, but if they're dumb enough to stay in, all the better. hopefully your party should be smart enough to stay in the wards.

maybe cuz they both start with an e? :P
and yes, 10 seconds doesnt seem like a long time, but thats 10 seconds most of your set can be disabled while a warrior or 2 come and rape you again and again.
and you mentioned that it acts as a repellent, yes?
well if they stay back all but 2 or 3 of your skills are useless (excludeing the enchants and such)

i said it can act as one. just make the build and try it people, and you will see. there are countless situations this build or any can be in. no build can be invincible in pvp.

The only comment I have is that your offensive spell casting times seem a little long. Except for Vampiric gaze.

And if they don't stack, why would you bring both?

they do stack. ele attunement stacks with air, fire, water, earth attunement.

You have two Atunemets, but they only effect two of your skills, and not even two spam-skills.
Your damage comes from Eruption, Obsid Flame, and Vamp Gaze, yet Eruption has a 3s cast, and a 30s cooldown, while Obsid Flame has a 2s cast, and causes exaustion.
Any interupt ranger would eat you alive, and Eruption will only work to full effect if they sit there and take it. Which they won't. That leaves you with Vamp Gaze for offense.
Even if you face something that won't interupt you, Obsid Flam is not spamable, and Eruption rarely deals full damage, let alone blinds someone. Oh yeah, and Eruption has a 30s cooldown, lwts not forget that.
If you want to deal a large burst of damage using earth skills, you should take a look at aftershock. KD/AS chains are signifigantly more damaging, and harder to stop (If you use some air skills, not Earthquake to knockdown).

You will get constantly eaten alive.
I've done this to a VERY ignorant guy who kept trying to rez his teamate with the sig.
Everytime he would start it it would interupt and he just kept doing it. Made an easy target for the 2 W/R that happened to be on the team.
If you're not careful, same may happen to you!!
